Social Media can create enormous buzz, but one of the sticking points is that the buzz often fades away fairly quickly. That’s why I love this campaign put on by Taylormade Golf and The San Diego Padres. Taylormade Golf produces the world’s number one driver and fairway woods, but that was not enough for this enthusiastic marketing team. When other golf manufacturers where cutting back in 2010, Taylormade golf pushed forward with an increase in their marketing expenditures.
Recently they put on a promotion at the San Diego Padres’ Petco park baseball stadium. They created a giant replica of their popular R11 driver and ran the shaft of the club 80 feet high alongside the right field’s foul ball pole. The shaft of the giant club leads down to a banner on the outfield wall that displays the head of the R11 driver. Now at every baseball event 40-50 thousand fans can’t miss that giant driver.
The promotion works on many levels, however Taylormade golf could add one element to increase the reach and buzz longevity of this marketing piece. They need to connect the offline world to the online world. They can do this easily by adding a QR code to the banner and let the 40 thousand some odd fans take a snap with their smart phone and go directly to a Taylormade online promotion.
The R11 Fairway brings new technology, innovation, and aesthetics to the proud line of TaylorMade clubs. With it's distinctive white crown and black face, the R11 is one of the easiest fairway woods to align at address ever, and flight path customization. With a black clubface and a white non glare crown, which is highly visible in the shade and reduces glare in the sun, the superb TaylorMade Golf R11 Fairway Wood produces out of this world results on the golf course.

Excellent Callaway Diablo Edge irons for average players
Callaway Diablo Edge irons are game-improvement clubs designed for players who want to strike the ball more consistently and gain distance.
Diablo Edge irons have a controversial appearance. The clubs do feature a similar colour scheme to the Big Bertha Diablo Irons from Callaway.
When Callaway set out to design the new Diablo Edge irons they wanted to make a more forgiving golf iron that would still produce excellent distance. Callaway concentrated mostly on the center of gravity and sole plate.
Center of gravity- A lower, deeper center of gravity was used in the Callaway Diablo Edge irons. This allows the sweet spot to be more accessible at lower impact locations. The end result of this is longer, more consistent shots and improved accuracy. Most amateurs hit the ball on the lower portion of the clubface so the lower center of gravity is perfect.
Sole- Callaway implemented a sole in the Diablo Edge irons that lessen the negative effects of heavy or thin shots. Because of the redesigned soles, miss hits are more accurate and carry farther than they have in the past. The longer irons have wider soles than the shorter irons.
Like other Callaway clubs, the Callaway Diablo Edge Irons incorporate three “core” Callaway design features: VFT technology, which increases forgiveness by increasing perimeter weighting; the shortened hosel of the S2H2 design, which moves weight from the club’s hosel to the head’s perimeter and makes the clubs easier to hit; and an improved Tru-Bore design which enhances feel and club head control, even on mishits. This particular design feature incorporates a polycarbonate tip plug to dampen vibration on mishits, and it’s something your hands will appreciate if you don’t strike the ball as purely as you’d like.
And in terms of being easy to hit and forgiving, the Diablo Edge irons certainly deliver. The whole, set, even the longer irons, are very solid through impact, and this results in outstanding forgiveness and very few shots going offline.
There is also quite an impressive amount of power in these irons. A lot of golfers are likely to be pleasantly surprised by how much carry they can get from a Diablo Edge iron, not only that but it’s pretty effortless power as well.
Callaway Diablo Edge irons are easy to hit, give you good distance and are very forgiving, even on off-center hits. They’re also the most affordable Callaway irons in several years.
